Some typical preparations for Hyssop

To make Hyssop tea:
Try steeping 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb in 1 cup of boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Make sure to strain out the hyssop leaves and drink one cup of tea up to 3 times a day. You can add honey if you like, as I do with many of the teas I drink. You can add lemon and sugar as well.

Using Hyssop as a compress:
Prepare one ounce of dried hyssop leaves in one pint of boiling water for about 15 minutes. Soak a clean cloth in the cooled mixture and apply to sores or affected area.

Using Hyssop in a poultice:
Mix together enough dried, crushed leaves with water to form a "paste" and apply to cuts and bruises.
